Welcome to WellForged

WellForged helps you build better software by guiding AI agents through structured research, specification, and test design phases.

Open a project — Point WellForged at any directory on your machine. It works with git repos and plain directories alike.
Create a flow — A flow is a unit of work: a feature, a refactor, an optimization. Choose the type and WellForged configures the right phases.
Run the research phase — The AI agent explores your codebase, reads documentation, and builds context about the problem space.
Review the spec — Research becomes a structured specification with clear requirements, edge cases, and design decisions.
Generate test designs — From the spec, WellForged produces comprehensive test strategies covering happy paths, error cases, and integration points.

Your code stays read-only — WellForged reads your codebase but never modifies it. All output goes to dedicated documents.
Versioned documents — Every spec and test design is versioned. You can review changes, leave comments, and track evolution.
Multi-phase workflows — Research, spec, and test design happen in distinct phases with clear handoffs between each.
